Gladstone Regional Council has been successful in obtaining funding from the Queensland Government's 2020/21 COVID Works for Queensland Program, to provide playground elements and associated infrastructure that offer challenging, but hazard free opportunities for a range of ages. Playground upgrades include removal and full fit out of some of our parks and refurbishment of others.

To keep the community well informed and included in the decisions of Council, we are seeking community input for the preferred option (two options to choose from) for each of the parks, and to inform the community of the parks that will undergo refurbishment.

Last year, Council launched the Frank & Francie Hart Park consultation to identify the community preferred option for that particular playground replacement. The park will be upgraded in accordance with community preference (2a).
