Gladstone Regional Council has received a request by the Mount Larcom & District Show Society Inc to lease Lot 1 SP 183256 (highlighted on the map below). The additional land is intended to accommodate an expansion of the National Chainsaw Championship competitor camping area and an extension to the equestrian centre.

Council has submitted a Land Management Plan (LMP) to the Queensland Department of Resource (DoR) and has received in principal support.

Public submission on the Mount Larcom Land Management Plan were open between 25 November 2023 to 22 December 2023.

Submissions will now be collated and supplied to the Queensland Department of Resources for final approval.
