This year council is offering to support community-led events in Seniors month with contributions of up to $500.

Preference will be given to local organisations, not-for-profits or business based in the Gladstone Region that can provide a no or low-cost event during the month of October, suitable for seniors aged 55 years and older. Event coordinators must be able to hold and/or obtain public liability insurance and issue an invoice to Gladstone Regional Council.

Priority may be given to ensure a diverse spread of events across the region. Whether it be a morning tea, tai-chi in the park, art session, yarning circle, workshop or more, we would love to hear your idea!

Applications must be received by 9am on Friday, 22 August 2025, to be considered.
All applicants will be contacted by Wednesday, 27 August 2025, close of business.

Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee funding. Applications will be assessed based on eligibility, alignment with program objectives, and overall geographic and event-type diversity. Council reserves the right to accept or decline applications at its discretion.
