Gladstone Regional Council has completed the Shoreline Erosion Management Plans (SEMPs) for Turkey Beach and Agnes Water/Seventeen Seventy. The SEMPs, in conjunction with the existing Boyne Island and Tannum Sands SEMP, will guide the near-term management of erosion issues in key locations of the Gladstone Region coastline.

The next step is the development of a SEMP Action Plan to review, plan and implement the recommendations of the SEMPs. While some actions will be implemented directly, Council will be seeking further consultation with the community prior to the implementation of some of the management recommendations. The SEMP Action Plan will be developed by June 2021.
