Overview

Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach members of the community how to notice the signs of poor mental health in their friends, family members and colleagues. Mental health first aid is provided to someone who is developing a mental health problem, has a worsening of an existing mental health problem or is in a mental health crisis. It teaches the skills around how to have a conversation with the person in a way that will guide them towards the help they need, and the first aid is given until appropriate professional help is received, or the crisis resolves.
