Playground Replacement Program - Project Update

28 June 2021

Council is pleased to advise that since our previous project update, some onsite adjustments have enabled a bird’s nest swing to be installed at Air Sea Rescue Park.

In addition to installation of climbing apparatus featuring a ship design and a separate rocker, this playground upgrade will now be fully complete by 25 June, ready for the June-July school holidays.

Other upgrades and replacement of playground equipment at various Gladstone Region parks has been progressing well.

Most of these works are funded by the Queensland Government’s 2020/21 COVID Works for Queensland Program.

Playground upgrade/replacement works have been completed at Turkey Beach Park, Bunting Park and Memorial Park.

Work at Goonananga Park is expected to be completed by 25 June ready for the school holidays.

Work is underway at Frank and Francie Hart Park, scheduled for a 30 June completion.

Playground replacement at Toonee Park is scheduled from late June to early July.

Thank you for your continued interest in Council’s Playground Replacement Program.

If visiting any of our parks which are undergoing upgrades/refurbishment, please be mindful of safety and observe any signage in place while works are carried out.
