Gladstone Regional Council would like to acknowledge the Bailai, the Gurang, the Gooreng Gooreng and the Taribelang Bunda people who are the traditional custodians of this land. Gladstone Regional Council would also like to pay respect to Elders both past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Privacy Statement
The Queensland Government has introduced privacy legislation which applies to the Queensland public sector (including local governments from 1/7/2010) —the Information Privacy Act 2009. The Information Privacy Act contains a number of privacy principles which set out how agencies may and must handle personal information. Personal information means any information from which your identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained.
Gladstone Regional Council has developed this Privacy Statement, which sets out details of how Council handles personal information and the types of personal information it holds in relation to its website. NOTE: The Gladstone Regional Council Privacy Policy for the Conversations Platform should be read in addition to Social Pinpoint’s Privacy Policy.
Our policy is to respect and protect the privacy of our website users and, as a general rule we do not collect personal information about you when you visit our site. You are able to visit our site without revealing any of your personal information.
However, you may enter your personal information into forms available on our website to avail yourself of various online facilities. In these cases, your details will only be used and accessed in accordance with the statement provided on the form.
Collection and handling of personal information
Where you provide your personal information during the course of completing a form, survey or other activity on our website, your details will be used and accessed in accordance with the statement provided on the form. Council’s site is integrated with Facebook functionality, be shared with
and processed by Facebook in accordance with the Facebook Data Policy
(accessible here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy)
which you can request to be deleted by Facebook in accordance with your
individual Facebook settings used to link to or otherwise participate on
Council’s platform.
Your personal information may be stored offshore
without the same protections in relation to personal information which apply in
Australia.
If you would like to request that your data is deleted from the Conversations Platform, please contact info@gladstone.qld.gov.au. Please note that Council will continue to maintain an internal record any deleted data deleted from the Conversations Platform in accordance with the Public Records Act 2002 (Qld).

The following Terms and Conditions govern the use of Conversations Gladstone (“the Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Social Pinpoint Pty Ltd, on behalf of Gladstone Regional Council.
By accessing and using this Site, you are choosing to accept and comply with the Terms presented throughout this agreement as well as the Privacy Policy and Moderation Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of this Site. Linked Sites, affiliated services or third party content or software have their own Terms that you must comply with. What does Social Pinpoint require from their users?

We may immediately deactivate or delete your account and all the related files and information in your account. After your account has been terminated, the content you have posted may also remain indefinitely on the Site.

Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regards to its conflict of law provisions.
Indemnification
Social Pinpoint, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, licensors and other partners and Gladstone Regional Council are not responsible for any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising from a breach of this agreement and/or any breach of your representations and warranties set forth above.
What content does Social Pinpoint own?
Your Say website contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, patents, trade secrets and other proprietary information (“Intellectual Property”) of Social Pinpoint and its suppliers and licensors. Social Pinpoint owns and retain all proprietary rights in the intellectual property. All intellectual property in the content of this Site including without limitation to text, software, source code, pages, documents and online graphics, photographs, sounds, audio, video and other interactive features are owned by or licensed to us.
Any original content that you submit or post on our Site may be made available to the public and allows users to share your content (with the end user acknowledging your contribution) under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Australian License.
